Fancy Pigeon Egg!?

This is the time we have been all waiting for!  Do you think you are ready?!

The time has come. For the Unknown.

Now, i’m sure your all wondering, what is this crazy lady talking about? Well I have big news!

Our fancy pigeon pair, has just laid an egg! They are first time parents!

OMG! I know crazy! But them laying an egg has taught my family so much!

The way pigeons breed is very interesting!

The first thing we noticed was that she didn’t lay the egg in the nest!

Now i’m sure your like, what?!

Well this is normal, they just choose a spot they liked, and there nesting box wasn’t there.

To fix this problem, we moved the nest to where they laid the egg. We then put the egg inside of the nest. Yes, this is completely safe, and the birds would not abandon the egg if you were to move it into a nest.

Another strange thing, we noticed was they would rarely sit on the egg!

We were very worried, and did some research, and learned that they won’t usually sit on the egg, until the second egg is laid. Pigeons usually lay around; two – six eggs.

It is absolutely amazing! Our Pigeon came from the brink of death, and now he is continuing on his genes. It is so beautiful💎
